Fiji

Fiji was a bit of a disappointment. We were in Suva so it was basically just a big dirty city. We took a taxi to a forest hike but us girls got to scared to go when we were told to leave our belongings because of who could be in there. We ended up at a museam, and had some drinks. Nothing too exciting.Fiji is actually under marshall law right now so one of the places we wanted to see had been taken over by the military. If you are ever in Fiji.......skip Suva and go to the islands.

swimming with the sharks

We had a great day in Moorea, just about a 30 minute ferry ride from papeete. It was said to be just as beautiful as Bora Bora. We had an early snorkel trip planned, they took us to this little sand bar to feed sting rays and all these black tipped sharks showed up to...and i mean these things were big nearly 6 foot long. It was amazing almost surreal. Then we headed to a lagoon in between two islands...was great snorkelling. After that we took a nice tour of the island, for cheap too. We stopped at an alcohol distillery...tried some BOM BOM juice which was suppose to cause erection...it was a ginger liquer...greta loved it...the liquer that is....after that they took us up in the mountains to this point called belvedere lookout..it was an awesome view of the ocean and bays and mountains.

Our next stop Rarotonga was skipped due to weather...we are in America Samoa today it is alright but the weather has been rainy all day. we are really getting excited for New zealand in a few days...

We will be crossing the international date line in 1 day.

talk to you all soon

Christmas Island,Bora Bora, and Papeete

After two more long days at sea we arrive at a small island called Kirbasi or Christmas Island. It was surrounded by water and that is about all i can tell you nothing else really there....No really it was a small island with beautiful lagoons we walked around for the most part and stole a coconut from a local. They did have 2 Chinese restaurants there but didn't get a chance to eat there...darn

Bora Bora was the most beautiful site i have ever seen....it is almost ashame to see this island at such a young age knowing that we will never again see a more beautiful island in our lives (unless we return of course). We bike the whole island and stopping in an incredible beach with a lagoon that stretched out for like miles Matira Beach. We ate at the famous Bloody Marys. The views all day long we incredible volcanoes on one side and crystal clear blue waters on the other.

Papeete or as i am calling it now She-Man Island was quite a bummer....we went on an excursion to the volcano craters and swam in some gorgeous giant waterfalls, it was incredible and we have awesome pixs of it too...we are here tonight to 4am so we are going to go out partying tonight with all the trannies and our new friends we have met on the boat.

All is well...the old people are growing on us. We love there spunkyness...they bitch about everything.

GO UofM..good luck on getting number 1 this weekend.

HAWAII

We just spent the last two days in Hawaii. First we went to Honolulu which was absolutely beautiful,we rented a car and drove around the island, first stopping at Pearl Harbour then different beaches along the way. Pearl Harbour was an incredible site to see, we actually went out to the memorial were the Arizonia was sunk, you can actually see pieces of the ship sticking out of the water. Around 1200 men died on that boat which is now their grave.
Kyle found a great place to snorkel but the huge fish freaked me out so much that i had to leave him to explore on his own. Honolulu has it all the great beaches, the mountains and the feel of the big city. Waikiki was pretty cool, that was our last stop of the day we went to The Royal Hawaiian hotel for drinks, which is where Mia Tia's were supposedly invented.
In Maui we went on an excursion that took you hiking through the rain forest and to a couple of waterfalls. Very nice but i wouldn't waste time in Maui doing that again. We really didnt have time for anything else - stopped at the bar for some drinks but that was about it.

We joined in on a game of trivia, it was name that tune....since the songs were from the 1920's (seriously) we won the prize for getting the least amount right. Today there was pool games and at first we were the only ones who wanted to play...kyle ended up with a pineapple and melon in his pants...but the best was an old old woman who put a watermelon down her suit....who said old people cant have fun!! Ok so hopefully i will soon have fun and interesting things to write but since i've been on a boat for 4 days.......

2nd day with the old folk

Well it's the 2ND day at sea and we are by far the youngest people on this cruise...it's ok though because we stick out so much that everyone knows us. Kyle had joked earlier in the day about how one of the old geezers would croak on the boat....so of course the ship had a delay in leaving because someone had to be rushed to hospital. Oh and yes we get most of the football games,a little disappointment for Michigan! The ship is nice though...very very clean, and our room is a decent size. I'm already sunburnt,i fell asleep outside and the left side of my face and neck are feeling the burn.Well more later! Only two days until hawaii.
